The World Bank sets the end of 2023 to implement e-governance

24th August, 2022

The World Bank has set the end of next year 2023 as a time limit for all state institutions to implement e-governance programs

A member of the United Nations Convention against Corruption coalition and head of the Al-Nahrain Network to Support Integrity and Transparency, Muhammad Rahim Al-Rubaie, said in a statement reported by the official “Al-Sabah” newspaper,

The World Bank funds governance processes, which must be implemented by all state institutions, especially those of public interest, including the ministries of oil and finance.” He pointed out that “it has been funding the Ministry of Finance and the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative for years to implement projects related to this matter

Al-Rubaie added, “The governance program emphasizes the need for institutions to publish financial statements and contracts to show the financial impact of these explosive budgets in society,” noting that its application comes to enhance transparency, noting that “the lack of transparency in Iraq is enough to stop international grants and international investors to implement projects within the country

He continued, “There is a great danger if the project is not implemented in all institutions, especially in the health sector, as a large proportion of the budget allocated to it depends on international grants,” noting thatuntil now no department has expressed its cooperation in this aspect, even if there is work, it is not visible   LINK

We have about a week for the banks to be “hooked up” internationally, will we and the people of Iraq who’ve been waiting on their purchasing power be dancing in the streets…..or do the dinars go back into the shoebox?  We wait and pray……just MY opinion…

Patriots12 » August 24th, 2022

Yes… I have to agree… no negativity here but the reality of the situation indicates good vs evil and corruption and at least from my perspective its hard to see what we seek by the end of August…..  only IMO   certainly much has occurred in our favor…. over 1800 final articles   lol   we shall see   IMOO

AshlyD » August 24th, 2022

Both Sadr an Kadzimi have said shortly the people would have their reward, I am with you SUZIE. Their credibility is on the line.  In IMHO  based on history and the lack of follow through we will have to wait longer …hope not . The natives are getting restless everywhere, and that’s a good thing… We wait .

Suzie » August 24th, 2022

I’m going to have to agree, everyone’s getting tired of all the rhetoric and dancing around the campfire, Iraq, you apparently have the backing and goodwill from Kazemi and Sadr, it’s time you give the people what you’ve promised and with the banking information going the direction we’ve been told/taught, international contracts signed in dinars, not USD’s, the EFSL was voted in to give them the go-ahead to proceed…..so…?  just my opinion!

DoTalkToMe » August 24th, 2022

The Silver lining….Corrupt leaders and there underlings are being rounded up.

The bought off judges are exposed. Billions of stolen dinars have been, or are being returned to the country. A Dinar is a Dinar is a Dinar. Purchasing power is on the horizon. How far is the Horizon…it is always before you…

An economist warns of a “missing opportunity” for the rise in oil to Iraq

24th August, 2022

An economist warned of the high “chance” of rising crude oil prices for Iraq.

Nabil Al-Marsoumi told {Euphrates News}, “Iraq has missed many opportunities this year and in recent years in investing oil money in achieving a great economic and productive renaissance.”

And he indicated that “Iraq is perhaps the only country affected by the drop in oil prices because of its heavy dependence on it, so that the rise in oil prices had negative effects on Iraq because the adoption of the Food Security Law increased operational expenditures and public burdens.”

Al-Marsoumi stressed that “any expansion of government spending is so effective that Iraq has become the only oil country for which oil is a curse because of the poor management of its resources,” he said.

24th August, 2022

On Wednesday, the competent investigative court issued arrest warrants against the former governor of Salah al-Din and a group of other employees, which deals with integrity issues in Rusafa.

The Media Center of the Supreme Judicial Council stated in a statement today, “The arrest warrants come in accordance with the provisions of Article 340 of the Penal Code for suspicions of corruption and irregularities in the security development project for Salah al-Din Governorate.”

On May 19, a parliamentary source revealed the dismissal of Salah al-Din Governor Ammar Jabor al-Jubouri from his position by order of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers to the House of Representatives.

The source told Shafaq News Agency, “The reason for dismissal of Al-Jubouri came after the recommendation of the investigative committees in the Council of Ministers, which diagnosed the mismanagement of the province and the waste of public money, and accordingly the committees recommended in their report that the governor be relieved of his position.”

The Sunni Endowment..a cave that swallowed billions, with the confession’s elites confessing

24th August, 2022

The Sunni endowment in Iraq has become a source of embarrassment for the Iraqi state at home and abroad, after a series of resounding scandals, the last of which was in the past few days, when directors of the endowment appeared dancing in a car roaming the streets of Lebanon, to reveal information after that the endowment sent them to study In Beirut. Before that, the issue of the magic broom, trading in the Qur’an, corruption of projects, extravagance, and looting of endowment funds.

Popular circles were shocked by the video, where activist Alaa Al-Khalidi commented: How do these people represent a religious endowment in Iraq?

A video of the former head of the Sunni Endowment, Saad Kambash, sparked widespread popular resentment.

Kambash appeared in the video while roaming freely in the streets of Erbil without accountability or supervision, even though he is wanted by the judiciary.

The head of the Al-Hal Party, Jamal Karbouli, who has been out of sight for a while after his release from prison after being accused of corruption, said that the Sunni Endowment is one of the most important caverns of corruption in which the money of the people who stopped it a thousand years ago is wasted.

Karbouli said that these funds were lost today in the hands of the corrupt heads and managers of endowments who have been in succession for the endowment since 2003.

In a resounding scandal, the Sunni Endowment made the biggest corruption deal by buying a hotel used for prostitution.

Documents seen by the obelisk indicated that the Sunni Endowment had made the biggest corruption deal by buying the Ramada Hotel at multiple times its real price. And the Integrity Commission announced, last Friday, the issuance of an arrest and search warrant against the head of the Sunni Endowment and a number of officials in it, against the background of the case of buying a hotel in the region worth 47 billion dinars.

And the Houses of God were not safe from corruption, as the Integrity Commission seized earlier, purchase receipts for the restoration of 37 mosques affiliated with the Sunni Endowment Directorate in Mosul for the year 2008, and sums amounting to nearly two billion dinars.

According to investigations, most of these receipts are incorrect and forged.

The authority reported the existence of suspicions in the Sunni endowment and the issuance of two recruitment orders against general directors of the endowment, against the background of contracting with a group of satellite channels, in violation of the regulations, despite the bureau’s possession of a satellite channel.

And an account on Twitter in the name of an Iraqi minister revealed that the Sunni Endowment had contracted with a fake shop to buy a broom of fronds at a value of 145 million dinars, indicating that the great disaster was the absence of the broom in the first place and that the contract was fake.

A document revealed a waste of public money amounting to 6 billion dinars to print the Noble Qur’an in the Sunni Endowment.

The leader of the Alliance of Progress Abdullah Al-Kharbit revealed that the Sunni Endowment Office owns 11,000 properties outside Iraq, while noting that the value of all Sunni Endowment properties reaches 750 trillion dinars.    LINK
