“AN ECONOMIC OBSERVATORY REVEALS THE CENTRAL BANK OF IRAQ’S CONDITIONS FOR BANKS TO TRADE IN CURRENCIES OTHER THAN THE DOLLAR.”
Another step in the breakaway from sanctioned times, this time global payment for trade…But this is not the end yet and there is still much work to be done. Yes, Iraq must get out of this 1991 and 2003 UN sanction-mode mindset and get back to regular international trade processes. We are now witnessing yet another step forward and this is a good one.

Comment: Mark Savaya is on his way to Iraq, he maybe already there. Folks, maybe we’re about to see some action fast.
MarkZ: Yes he has some big meetings [Saturday & Sunday]. (He is Trump’s special envoy to Iraq) He is an Iraqi born American businessman. He was raised in the US. He is coming with a bag full of carrots and sticks.

I don’t believe Maliki is going to be the next prime minister…To be honest with you, every time we talk about Maliki is a a waste of time…
It is my hope the Kurdistan region gives us the remaining president. As you know that’s the first domino…President completes the government, parliament takes the laws, applies the new exchange rate to it, opens the budget line by line…
It’s not complicated. You need a new exchange rate for the HCL because if you try to pass it now at 1300 it accomplishes absolutely nothing for the citizens of Iraq…1300 is not for the HCL.

Article:
“With Savaya…’Baghdad Today’ obtains a message from Trump to Baghdad: ‘The time of chaos is over.’ “
Quote:
“US President Donald Trump doesn’t mince words when it comes to Iraq…Either a single army under the authority of the state, or a fragmented country where power is divided among rival armed factions. In Trump’s view, there can be no renaissance for a country that aspires to compete with its neighbors while distributing sovereignty among official institutions and armed groups… What is the main message that President Donald Trump is sending to Baghdad?…President Trump’s message is very clear: Iraq cannot progress with two armies. What’s needed is the complete dismantling of the Popular Mobilization Forces and the retention of a single official force, the Iraqi army.”
“What is the content of the message that President Trump’s envoy, Mark Savaya, is carrying to Iraq?”…The message he carries from President Trump is very simple and direct: ‘End the factions; there will be no progress with them.’ If Savaya arrives in Baghdad, it means there is real room for solutions and that Iraq is ready to take positive steps. If he doesn’t come, it indicates that the problems are intractable and that Iraq isn’t receiving much attention from Washington because the Iraqi partner doesn’t want to change the status quo.

I started saying [last year], ‘Everything is going smooth in Iraq, but one of my concerns we have e*******s coming up. Every time we have an e******n that’s a fiasco. There’s always some bull s**t.’ I said we have to hope Sudani becomes the prime minister because he definitely got Iraq on track more than people know…Now is a time in which they start jockeying…getting coalitions together…I said to be careful because who is the best at doing this? I said Maliki…People were like, ‘no, there’s no way in hell he’s gonna be the prime minister.’…Sudani has stepped aside to let Maliki take over as prime minister. You were hearing from other [dinar gurus] that Sudani was out, that he conceded to Maliki. I told you guys that was all B.S. nonsense and you have to know how to correctly vet the news…I told you… Sudani was not out. Sudani did not concede. Many of you guys were frustrated and upset…They still don’t have a final decision towards Maliki…You can’t trust the political news. It’s very misleading and they lie to you extensively in it. Article: “What if Mohammed Shia al-Sudani rebels against the coordination framework…” This article doesn’t suggest Sudani conceded to Maliki.
You know we have to wait for the government to be formed. That’s clear as day because we’re near the middle point of the formation of their government and the rate hasn’t changed. It’s obvious we’re waiting for the government to be formed. That’s been the #1 delay the whole time by the central bank as to why the rate hasn’t changed …Mark Savaya is there right now…He’s going to be auditing and opening Iraq’s financial books working with the US Treasury regarding OFAC to get the last final remaining sanctions under OFAC removed from the country of Iraq so they can go international.

All visas from Iraq and 74 other countries, are now banned indefinitely. Trump has determined that 75 countries have earned the ban. Also, people actively in the country now, from these 75 countries, including Iraq, have had their visas cancelled indefinitely. If Iraq were safe and secure, they would not be included in the ban. This is serious and doesn’t imply that the RV is imminent.

None of us is happy about the news of Sudani pulling out of the race for the prime minister. We have to remember that he backdoored the prime minister before him. Now it appears the same is happening to him. However no word yet on what Iraq will do.
