Question: With Sudanis temporary approval of power, how long do you believe it will take for the HCL, budget and new rate to be implemented by the board of directors and tell the CBI to flip the switch?
MarkZ: I don’t know timing. But I think we will get HCL moving very quickly…then a budget and a rate change. Just my opinion.

We’re close no doubt. But the problem is that you can see what is in the way. You know what is preventing this. We need to pray that the war ends and we are victorious and the government of Iraq is established...Like I always say, lets wait till the smoke clears..In my heart I believe it’s gong to clear before the end of this month.
I know many of you are depending on this to happen. I pray that it happens. I don’t know when it’s going to happen. I know it’s happening. This I know. I just don’t know when. How much? I got a pretty good educated guess based on what they’ve said. That’s the problem…the wait…The good thing about it is we have Trump on our side.

How far away is the rate change? Obviously the war has to happen first. Yesterday’s news…they flat out finally admitted it to you. The government formation is paused and on hold until the war is done…I’ve been telling you guys since we’ve been into this year that everything in Iraq, including real trade against their currency, taxation, all of that is paused and on hold until they form the government and revalue the currency going international.
We’re not far from the rate change. When this war ends, the rate change and the formation of the government will happen reasonably fast...I don’t think it’s going to take months or anything like that. It could just be a few weeks.

Al-Sudani has been busy…trying to…prevent Iraq from becoming the next battlefield…This challenge is balancing three powerful forces…Pressure from Iran linked militants inside of Iraq, pressure from Western governments who want these militants controlled and pressure from Iraq’s own people who simply want stability and economic security. This is on top of Iraq’s oil exports coming to a halt due to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

Nouri al-Maliki is still formally the Shia Coordination Framework’s nominee and insists he will not withdraw, but his path to actually becoming prime minister has weakened and is now highly uncertain due to US pressure and internal divisions. Add to this complication, and all it’s baggage, Iraq now has it’s finances in peril due to 91% of it’s income being compromised. Not looking too good for the RV home team. I’m looking for that magic Trump Sauce to pull this off but the future is not exactly bright at this time.
