Oh, no, dear Lisa V. Please forgive me for not making myself plain. I am not say only $500 per month to replace an income. That was just a number I pulled out of the air as an amount to add to our monthly incomes to make things better for all. Yes, we have all been suffering through these last several months and thank you for loving your family and being a stable supporter of them.
I am saying, don’t give people enough to live on monthly to completely replace their own income. That way people will continue to work but can get out from under all the stress and past due bills and live better than we have been.
$500, $750, $1000, 1500 or even better $2000 across the board per adult would help everyone but most of us could not live on that amount alone but it sure would help us all as individual households to add that amount to our current incomes.
I greatly admire people like you who continue to do whatever it takes to care for your family. Those/you are the kind of people who need to be on shows such as “Survivor” instead of these ridiculous, fighting, back stabbing, stunt shows that I don’t watch much less allow my grandchildren to watch because of all the f**e drama which no one needs in their already stressful, dramatic and even sometimes chaotic lives just trying to survive on a daily basis.
No, you can’t survive on $500 a month even though I know people who do but again I was just putting a number out there to help every household or individual on a monthly basis but not give so much that people would quit the workforce causing even more problems with supply as we have seen this past 15-18 months.
If you are like me, it would be nice to have a newer car (mine is a 2002 model) or have enough money to actually be able to save toward a nice family vacation each year, etc.
