Our society is supporting a plethora of people that perform no true productive work… does not mean they do not have a job… half the jobs people do, do nothing but keep the government on life support…
We are like an old forest… having accumulated a great deal of debris and underbrush what we need is a good burn…
I suspect that we are about to get a great one…
We are largely running a bread and circuses type of economy where precious little is created for the benefit of the coming generations other than poisonous debt. Furthermore the 6.5% annualized growth for the quarter is nothing more than 1.6% for the quarter and therefore just a statistical sleight of hand.
