Oil prices are rising globally
19th November, 2021
Oil prices rose on Friday, after sharp fluctuations the previous day, as investors bet that potential coordinated releases from major economies of their official crude oil reserves may have less impact on markets than expected.
Brent crude rose 73 cents, or 0.9 percent, to $ 81.97 a barrel by 0703 GMT, after falling to a six-week low on Thursday, before rebounding to close 1.2 percent higher.
West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude for December delivery rose 82 cents, or 1%, at $79.83 a barrel, after swinging through a range of more than $2 in the previous session before the close.
The December contract expires on Friday and most trading activity shifted to January futures, which rose 67 cents, or 0.9%, at $79.08 a barrel. LINK
