Dinarland Highlights – 11.29.21

Frank26 (KTFA)

[Firefly boots-on-the-ground Iraqi TV update]

FIREFLY: The finance minister is on our television and he’s saying positive signs of currency adjustment are now shown in the budget and in the white papers…and the ’22 budget will reveal the support of this.

FRANK: It’s important…that you understand…the governor of the CBI tells the Iraqi citizens the monetary reform is complete.   Now he comes out the next day of when they’re going to do the ‘pros and cons’ of why they’re going to do the monetary reform...and he says the currency adjustment that we’ve made is now showing and the only place that could be showing is in the budget.  He says the ’22 budget will reveal and support this…I’m all for that!

Article:
Can the dollar exchange rate return to the previous one in the near future?”

More talk about the dollar exchange rate.  That seems to be a topic almost regularly now.

There will be no accession for Iraq into the WTO until they pass the laws that are necessary to support their economy and start producing products that they can export other than oil. Talk of accession to the WTO is all nonsense until then.

Article:
Ishtar Gate Company and Visa have launched their cooperation by launching the Visa Platinum prepaid card “Blue Platinum”, with services considered the first of its kind in the Middle East…”

I have to say the depth of this article is amazing…We have the Central Bank launching and digital platform was said to be the first of it’s kind and the communications being digital... They are not just saying this.. They are doing it. Having a multi currency VISA CARD for digital payments down to the ATM’s..To be international requires a real value to their currency…

[Kuwaiti dinar is $3.27 at Chase right now.]

isn’t that interesting?  Especially when the new leadership in Iraq has said they are going to have the highest currency in the middle east. That kind of tells us the Iraqi dinar will be more then $3.27…right? I expect it to be closer to $5 over there.  In Iraq they are putting out PSA’s on the TV about how to handle the new lower denominations. They are prepping their people as to what to expect over the next few days

[How close are we to going?]

...things are well underway…It looks like we are positioned for it to happen this week…a lot of the news is pointing to this week.
