and in the middle of the day, skies turned black as 3 men hung on crosses on a hillside, one of them looked to the heavens and said “FATHER INTO THY HANDS I COMMEND MY SPIRIT”, and shortly thereafter he d**d. The Son of God crucified for sharing with others the truth of the word of God. He d**d so that we could be saved from sin & be gifted with eternal life when we leave this Earth.
I found this picture and it’s spoken to me each and every Good Friday since the day I found it. It speaks of the hope of the future. It speaks of even when things look the bleakest, there is something coming that will bring light into the world once again. It speaks of the hope of resurrection from all that is holding us down in this life and us rising from the ashes into the light of love, understanding, knowledge, wisdom, compassion and knowing that we matter in this world.
It’s Good Friday. Remember those who’ve gone from this world, and those who are yet to arrive into it. Remember your family, and remember that Easter Sunday is a time to reflect, to enjoy, to resurrect & to be seen by the world. YOU MATTER. YOU ARE LOVE. YOU ARE LOVED.
And so it is.
