Brent rose to $111.70

Oil prices closed with weekly gains of nearly $9 at the end of the week’s trading
Brent crude closed in its last session (Friday), with a rise of 2.92 dollars, to reach 111.70 dollars, to record large weekly gains of 8.92 dollars, equivalent to 8.68 %
The US West Texas Intermediate crude also closed up by $2.70 to reach $106.95 a barrel, and also recorded weekly gains of $8.84, or 8.69 percent
Oil prices rose over the past week due to tight supplies and with the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries warning that it would be impossible to increase production enough to make up for lost Russian supplies LINK
