Dinarland Highlights – 5.7.22
…The IMF made a statement earlier this week and are pushing for Iraq to increase their rate or strengthen their currency. Give it a higher value…so we know that it is imminent…we just don’t know the exact time. …Military contacts are saying that mid –month is still their timeframe…Iraqi contacts are squarely looking at the start of next week as well. …It’s all positive. We don’t know the exact timing but it appears we are exceptionally close…this is from all kinds of different sources…not just one.
There is so many expectations and festivities going on in Iraq I am surprised there isn’t more news….Iraq sources are eerily quiet…I have heard we can expect a complete blackout from the country when the Rate release happens…but it just may be because it’s a weekend. Kuwait did its best to keep their rate change a secret for 10 days. I don’t think that in today’s world this would be possible with our technology…

FIREFLY: Accounting experts saying deleting zeros would cost the government 6 cents for each note and that it would help citizens carry less money and would be much easier as for accounting issues however this has to be included with the Council of Ministers and Parliament to actually add value for purchasing power…
…Deleting the zeros alone does not give increase in purchasing power. It’s a collective project.
FRANK: This is the time when all they will talk about is the deletion of the 3 zeros from the exchange rate to add value to your currency and you are beholding it. The ISO20022 is the door for your currency to go international. And when the IMF gave it to the CBI last week we all went crazy…
“Last-minute initiatives… “balance of pressure” between the frame and the chest exacerbates the blockage“
“With the end of the deadline comes a new failure in the attempts of the framework or the movement to find an understanding with the other forces in order to set a new date for holding a parliament session, dedicated to electing a new president of the republic, and completing the constitutional entitlements represented by forming a new government.”
“Which dinar are we supposed to buy?“
Nothing before 2003…25000, the 10,000 one in green, 5000…the most commonly bought one is the 25000 dinar. Some people have the 10,000. Some people have the 50,000. I have the fifty thousand, the twenty five thousand, the 10 and the 5 thousand…anything after 2003 should be fine.
“Last-minute initiatives… “balance of pressure” between the frame and the chest exacerbates the blockage”
I am beginning to wonder if this can ever be resolved without another election. Anyway, I can’t see it being resolved anytime soon. One or more articles spoke of the end of June to resolve the current political impasse I believe & I certainly would not be surprised.
[Reply to Newshound Guru Godlover below]
I have not seen one or more articles to suggest that, in respect to June…Even if it is out to June based off news, it is not far off. But, what looks more promising is the below from Sadr…
“Earlier, independent MP Hassan Al-Khafaji revealed to Shafak News Agency that a meeting will be held by the independent representatives next week to discuss the initiatives of the coordination framework and the Sadrist movement and to come up with a solution to end the political blockage.”
Every year the IMF usually meets with each member state and does a thorough evaluation including recommendations of their banking system it’s called the Article IV Consultation. Iraq should be having theirs over the next few months for the year 2022. These documents are about as complete as it gets when it comes to progress, development and integration into the global financial system…
[Response to Newshound Guru Militiaman below ]
Imo…Same wavelength… An independent bloc announces its acceptance of al-Sadr’s initiative to form a “national” government.
“Al-Khafaji said that “contacts took place yesterday between 35 independent deputies”
Last time they had a quorum of about 200 if I’m not mistaken. If 35 were added then…… 🙂
