Honestly, I am beginning to wonder if this can ever be resolved without another election. Anyway, I can’t see it being resolved anytime soon. One or more articles spoke of the end of June to resolve the current political impasse I believe & I certainly would not be surprised.

MilitiaMan » May 7th, 2022

I have not seen one or more articles to suggest that, in respect to June.. If there is one or more, I would sure like to see the link(s)..  Even if it is out to June  based off news, it is not far off. But, what looks more promising is the below from Sadr.. ~ MM

Earlier, independent MP Hassan Al-Khafaji revealed to Shafak News Agency that a meeting will be held by the independent representatives next week to discuss the initiatives of the coordination framework and the Sadrist movement and to come up with a solution to end the political blockage.” LINK

“It is possible to imagine that al-Sadr, who certainly has intentions to maneuver less than its counterpart in the Iraqi political situation during the past two decades, and perhaps also millions of Iraqis eager for the faltering moment of consensus until now, will pass the “Ramadan period” that extends for forty days, between the first day of Ramadan and the ninth from the month of Shawwal (May according to the Gregorian calendar), they are as if they are watching an exceptional Ramadan series in its events, heroes and surprises, and the outcome of its end is unknown.” LINK

IMO, IRAQI articles are the most part are disinformation, misleading, an misinterpreted. I believe history has shown this in our dinar trip. Where the date June came from as well as another so called Gurus saying ———are just opinions to satisfy the longing of a desired event.
We should all be of the mindset of go about your life’s mission it will happen when it happens.

MilitiaMan » May 7th, 2022

I am going about my life’s mission, thank you. I have a full time job and business to run while trying to study along the way and help where I can and to the best of my ability.

Not all articles are misleading and false, many are yes we can agree. No different than Yahoo news, Reuters, CNBC, CNN, FOX, etc., etc… Iraq has her share be sure. I have looked for articles here in our forum and have not seen articles that suggests that time frame of June, hence why I asked for links (implied based off rules) from our forum.

The news hounds have experience in vetting many of the sites that are likely to be suspect for fake news, thus, we are likely to get less of the suspect ones in our forum.

As for when it will happen is always a question in many peoples minds. There is nothing wrong with following along and making opinions from the data we gather and glean.

The whole process is unique imo and it is not only about Iraq. It is about Iraq, regional and international arenas. We can see that by the likes of the WB, the IMF, the AMF, the G7, G20+, WTO, AYSCUDA, BUNA, CRS2, ISO20022 digital platforms and or systems, etc.. Interlinking all those entities while trying to sort a convoluted process of seating the government to have credibility is directly in the forefront today.

They’ll all need that to have the confidence needed for investors to have security and stability.

The process of seating the government and gearing for the 2022 budget is slated for from now through this next week from the looks of it.

So, I will not quite my day job, nor will I quite following along this study we have. before us.  Sure it will happen when it happens. But, with what we have witnessed over the past couple years, months and even days, we have never been closer based off hindsite and all the data in the Final Article thread. imo… Peace to all. ~ MM

BTW, April 1 2022 was the new moon and April 2nd, 2022 was the first Day of Ramadan. There is above the time frame Sadr gave that gets it to the 10th of May per the Islamic Calendar. Sadr has summoned the FM and CBI Governor 05/12/2022.. I can imagine the CBI having a move soon. I like the timing regardless.. ~ MM

A fresh meeting with the President and the Prime Minister today.. On topics like security, stability solidarity, consolidating ranks and moving towards meeting the national entitlements that await the country.

These items have serious implications for the future. They are working like a a government that has the people on their agenda. Their peoples entitlements would come from the reforms that have been promised.

That sounds like they are gearing for a change in an ex-change rate when using the word entitlements.

As exchange rate change will be needed to give the citizens their purchasing power, this year not next.. The two having the meeting today, is all a part of the reforms, imo. It shows the solidarity is intact .. imo~ MM

Tomorrow they will meet.. Independents: It is difficult to form a parliamentary bloc of 40 deputies

2022-05-07

A group of independent deputies will hold a special parliamentary meeting tomorrow, Sunday, to discuss the initiatives put forward by the two sides of the Shiite conflict, the coordination framework and the Sadrist bloc, to determine their compass, which in turn will determine their subsequent steps, accompanied by some demands that will achieve the desired change in the overall political process .

Independent MP Adnan Al-Jabri told Shafak News Agency, “Most of the independent representatives will hold a meeting tomorrow to deliberate among themselves on the last two initiatives that were put forward by the Coordination Framework Forces and Muqtada al-Sadr.”

He pointed out that “most of the independent representatives tend to go towards the opposition, while others believe that confronting the political scene and forming an independent national government that meets the aspirations of the street, but according to demands that may not appeal to the owners of the initiative.”

He added, “We seek a comprehensive reform of all presidencies, including the parliament, along with the withdrawal of presidential candidates, and otherwise any reform will be partial, we will not go with it,” expressing his hope that “tomorrow’s meeting will discuss all the details and proposals for solutions to get out of the political closure.”

Al-Jabri added, “The independents must take responsibility by coming up with a working paper or an initiative that is presented to all political forces and blocs, which we hope will resolve the political crisis,” adding that “the upcoming meeting will inevitably come out with a set of recommendations that will be announced later.”

He stressed that “it is not easy to gather the independents and unify their visions in their approach, given that each of them has his own opinion or position, noting that some deputies have previously defined their positions as having attended the election sessions for the President of the Republic with an incomplete quorum, and their total does not exceed 25 deputies, nine from the extension movement , and like them from the new generation, four independents, and two from the Tasmeem movement.”

He continued, “In the sense that the other independents, who number more than 17 deputies, are the ones who support comprehensive change and correcting the course of the political process as a whole, not just the cabinet. They are also looking and wanting to limit the scope of the powers of the Prime Minister, who will be tasked with forming the government and choosing his ministry according to specific criteria.”

Al-Jabri pointed out that “the demands to correct the course of the comprehensive political process are supported by some of the deputies of the Independent Iraq Alliance and the radiance of Kanon, as well as some independents and others.”

He pointed out that “realizing the demand of the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, according to his recent initiative to form a parliamentary bloc of independents of no less than 40 deputies, is difficult and difficult.”

The independent MP, Hassan Al-Khafaji, revealed to Shafak News Agency earlier about a meeting that the independent representatives will hold to discuss the initiatives of the coordination framework and the Sadrist movement and to come up with a solution to end the political blockage.

He added, “The parliamentary meeting will discuss the paragraphs of the proposed initiatives, using the experiences of some advisors, and we will inevitably come up with outputs that may contribute to determining our next destination, whether to go with the initiative of the leader of the Sadrist movement or with the coordination framework initiative.”

Al-Khafaji pointed out that “after analyzing the two initiatives, including the common points or commonalities between the two initiatives.”

The leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, had put forward earlier today an initiative calling on independent parliamentarians to form an independent bloc to form the government away from the coordination framework.

It is noteworthy that the coordination framework put forward last week an initiative that included some requirements for entering into new alliances to form a government.  LINK

These articles are actually.  It is the President, Prime Minister and Council of Ministers and they are talking about the future today.

We were told there would be meetings today and apparently they have happened.

The timing is all coming together and may even have been done to a degree that suggests we could see more out of the CBI sooner than thought.

But first lets talk about what has transpired with Sadr. He gave a 40 day period out to the Coordination Framework to form a government and they are said to have failed. Also, this week we have seen that Sadr gave the independents up to 15 days to form a government with the Sadr’s block.

An article suggests that the Independents could actually get on board within days and walaa here we are seeing them meeting tomorrow.. So, here we may have been an Independent group that gives Sadr 23rds of the seats to come on board.

In the recent past there was approximately 220 seats under Sadr that didn’t get him the 2/3rds majority. But, if the independents come on board adding 35+-  seats may give Sadr what he needs to form the government.

I find it interesting that the President, Prime Minister and Kahdimi today are so called caretaker government, yet acting like they are not a caretaker or at least they know from the Federal Court, they have the powers to see that the entitlements for the citizens get sorted while the group is still in office and likely to be in the future.

They’ll not be considered a caretaker government anymore, imo based off the court decision and by their present actions.

The timing of an article out from a Maliki today states, *”A member of the Coalition, Muhammad Al-Sayhoud, told Shafaq News Agency, “Political parties are working to suspend the monitoring role of the House of Representatives to pass many contracts and projects in the caretaker government for their interests.” and “Now we have a caretaker government and should not work as a government with full powers.”

He added.* This is looking to be the Maliki is trying to sway public opinion in his favor and it is likely to late to be effective.

Again a key to be remembered, is the Federal Court has already told us the caretaker government can do the needs of the people and that is their entitlements.

Thereby, Malki is merely spouting off and the outcome is not in his favor at all. The consequences he faces are loss of immunity. That is not good based off his past.

So by this meeting today with the President, Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, suggests that they have security, stability, coordination, continuity and entitlements for the citizens in mind.

That would require a rate which would likely be in the 2022 budget plan.

Possibly  to be voted on in short order as voted on as well. We shall see soon enough.

We know Sadr has summoned the Finance Minister and the Central Bank Governor to meet on 05/12/2022. That meeting appears to be possibly an after the fact meeting. With possibly having a newly disclosed budget timed accordingly, the allocations of that would warrant decisions to be made that Sadr would need to know about by then, as they would affect everyone in the country.

Their entitlements, i.e., HCL would be front and center to those decisions among many others, imo.

Lets see how this plays out, but, with the President, Prime Minister and Council of Ministers having this meeting it is very promising for us and even in the very, very short term.

Add in the Independents tomorrow? Hence, why Maliki is freaking out. lol imo ~ MM
