Gold is on its way to the first rise in 5 weeks


Gold prices rose on Friday, on the way to achieving their first weekly gains since mid-April, as the dollar’s decline from its highest levels in two decades and growing concerns about US economic growth revived demand for safe haven bullion.

And gold rose in spot transactions 0.2 percent to $ 1845.71 an ounce by 0556 GMT.

US gold futures rose 0.1 percent to $1,844.30 an ounce.

Gold prices, priced in dollars, rose by about 1.9 percent this week, with the decline of the US currency, in what will be the first weekly loss that he has wished in seven weeks.

Among other precious metals, silver rose 0.5 percent to $ 22 an ounce, and it rose by about 4.4 percent this week.

The Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq participates in the closing meeting of the World Bank mission participated in the closing meeting of the World Bank mission to enhance support for the Iraqi financial sector reforms program, which was held in Amman on Friday, May 20, 2022, at the head of a high-level delegation from the Central Bank and representatives of the Ministry of Finance.

The mission reviewed the cooperation and support programs provided by the World Bank to the Central Bank and the Ministry of Finance with the aim of reforming the financial sector and enhancing its role in financing economic development.

The mission focused on methodologies for government bank reform, capacity building, payment system support, digital financial services, financial infrastructure, and measures to combat money laundering and terrorist financing. . It was agreed to continue joint cooperation between the above-mentioned entities to increase financial depth. .

Agreed Clare… Imo, looking very promising in the short term… The IMF giving their OK in an article yesterday, and the 24th of May an invite to foreign companies to participate in the new Iraq economy… One thing seems to be missing though… Where of where did my RI go… Oh where, Oh where could it be?…
