“Memorial Day Weekend” by Michael Murdock – 5.25.22

REMEMBER and HONOR those who have died in the service of our country. That’s what Memorial Day is for. Those from days of yore who’ve died, those in recent conflicts, and those who will perish as a result of sickness that was brought upon them during combat, whether or not the war made any sense at all.

I will remember my Dad who was killed by cancer brought on by exposure to AGENT ORANGE during the VIETNAM WAR. He never filed a claim for this sickness. Shit happens he told me. Dad was very proud and stubborn too! Just like people you know in your lives. Don’t let them go to their graves without saying something to the government. I did try but in the end respected his decisions regarding chemo, hospice and claims. I have no regrets about honoring his decisions.

I will be praying for all of you and your loved ones who have served in combat for our country to keep us free. THANK YOU for their service to our nation.

Yes this email is early, but only because I don’t wish to disturb any of you during the weekend

God bless & please be safe during the upcoming Memorial Day weekend.

Michael Murdock, US NAVY VETERAN
