The Ministry of Finance issues instructions on the powers of disbursing the Food Security Law

The Ministry of Finance issued instructions for the powers of disbursing the Food Security and Development Law No. 2 of 2022.

The Ministry of Finance called on “all ministries and agencies not associated with a ministry to review the budget department to receive instructions.”

The House of Representatives had voted to approve the emergency support for food security and development law on June 8, at a value of $18 billion, due to the absence of a budget for 2022.

RE: The Emergency Food Security Law:

I think Monday is going to be a pivotal day for us in what happens next.

I thought they were already using that law.

Annie, the law passed but has not been implemented, which is causing a lot of stress for a lot of their people for the politicians not to allow the implementation of the law. They’re claiming a few of the articles they have a problem with. Back to the court they go on it.

I believe it is a desperate attempt to disqualify it using the old line,,,they were a caretaker government, BUT they were in a state of emergency even at that point when they exceeded the number of days form a government,, IT WILL FAIL!!!

what will fail, the law or the attempt to stop it?

Their ability to stop it. The Law is ratified.  They are long past the time frame to form a government. Read it was 75 days from when the vote was completed. Even with all the court challenges to stop this or that, they are still past the time.

Concerning the Food Law, I think it was a brilliant move for them to let the law pass on its own in 15 days instead of there being a signing off on the law. Just made it harder for the opposing side to dispute any legality with it.

After yesterday’s meetings with the UN & now with the court ruling, today should prove to be interesting.
