Low oil prices in world markets

Oil prices fell for a second session, Monday, while production resumed on several US offshore platforms in the Gulf of Mexico after a brief interruption last week.
Brent crude futures were down 27 cents, or 0.3%, at $97.88 a barrel, after falling 1.5% on Friday.

US West Texas Intermediate crude reached $91.87 a barrel, down 22 cents, or 0.2%, after a 2.4% drop in the previous session. LINK
A “very big” oil discovery in Nineveh

Nineveh Governor Najm Al-Jubouri announced the discovery of many large oil fields and wells in the province, which contain large reserves of oil and gas.
Al-Jubouri said in a press statement, “The Iraqi Oil Exploration Company was able to discover several very large fields in the Qayyarah and Tal Afar regions, and the Iraqi exploration companies are still working in the province.”
He added that “the governorate approached the Ministry of Oil several times regarding requests submitted by private companies wishing to establish oil refineries in the Qayyarah field, and other companies wanting to use the gas in the region.”
Al-Jubouri indicated, “The ministry has not given any approval so far to establish these or other refineries,” and stressed that “the wells that were discovered in Nineveh Governorate are very numerous, and contain a very large reserve of oil and gas.” LINK
