The Iraqi’s are still being closed lipped about when they are going to announce the rate and what the rate is, so we just have to sit and watch what goes on there…this thing is going we just don’t know when…

I am hearing a tremendous amount of chatter their goal is Sept 6th. I am hearing this from many different directions.

It’s very, very quiet on all fronts. I am getting dead silence from Iraq since yesterday when they let me know things are now peaceful and calm over there. Contractors and government sources are being very quiet…I think the quiet is very good news right now.

Article from Iraq:
The Federal Court again fails to rule on the claim to dissolve the Iraqi Government”

They have postponed it for one week…I don’t think at this point that we need the Iraqi gov. to be settled… I could be wrong but we are going to find out over the next few days… Every contact I have is very excited …but they will not share specifics. They are claiming NDA’s...

After Al-Sadr was directed… the Sadrists withdrew from the Green Zone

AND YET ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC & ALL THE FAKE NEWS SAID ‘BREAKING NEWS-IRAQ IS FALLING AT THIS MOMENT’ LIAR!

[Iraq boots-on-the-ground report]

FIREFLY: It’s all calm here…We are hearing Friday could bring huge clashes in the streets.  Not sure.  We’re waiting to hear more details about this from Sadr.  Here’s the one who had all the protesters leave the green zone immediately.  So we wait and we obey Sadr and Kazemi.  Many in the streets are saying Friday is a deadline if nothing is done more chaos

FRANK: What you’re seeing here is the truth.  The reality…it’s not a disaster.  Iran didn’t take over.  People were killed, it’s a confrontation…

FIREFLY: Kazemi has said that if all of this continues he will quit…as of now it’s all clear.  It’s all calm.  FRANK:  It’s going to stay that way because Kazemi has things under control…

People demand to know…’What’s the problem with Iraq? …It’s all over the news.  How can you be so casual about this? …ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN all of them FOX…all day yesterday…ABC just said breaking news Iraq is falling apart.  CBS says Iraq is being torn apart by Iran right now in terrorism, the whole government has been shut down.’ …they don’t need to turn to the F— —-, excuse me, the media that’s out there…Iraq is no where near what people in the media paint…you need to flush the media’s reports.

I’m glad it calm down today a little bit.  It is doing better.  Kazemi will not go away don’t worry.  Everything is going to be okay.  Two weeks…we go back to again talk about the exchange rate and the dinars and the oil and the economy and the private sectors and everything else…for now know everybody’s stressed out.  Everybody’s going crazy, ‘What’s going to happen. We don’t know what’s going to happen.’  I think in a couple weeks everything’s going to be okay…  please everybody be patient.

Anytime this type of violence occurs in Iraq it is a significant setback to economic development. It’s going to take months maybe even years to get past this nonsense.

There is a silver lining when it comes to the dinar (no pun intended).  Here’s the thing, you have the gold reserves increasing which is a huge step.  You have the foreign currency reserves increasing, I believe it’s at 92 billion by the end of the year which is awesome.  The more the better.  But until you get a stable government, stable nation and a stable economy you’re never going to see the exchange rate change in any dramatic form one way or the other.

A government meeting to complete the project to modernize public financial management systems”

Things may not be as bad for our investment as one may think…the process of implementation of financial and economic reforms…is being integrated with financial and managerial accounting that is consistent with international programs and systems, in real time….The cogs are turning and are getting plenty of grease.

[Iraqi bank gentlemen in US banks update]

They [Satellite banks] are getting currency counting sorting machines for their grand opening [Late September early October] because they know that there are hundreds of millions of 3-zero notes all around the world in the hands of Iraqi citizens…They know the largest majority rest in the United States of America.  They’re coming up with ways to retrieve their 3-zero notes from Iraqi citizens.
