The Central Bank said, in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, that the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Mustafa Ghaleb Makhaif, received, today, Sunday, Jesse Baker, Assistant Deputy Secretary of the US Treasury for T*******m and Financial C****s, and his accompanying delegation.
The statement added that during the meeting, they discussed bilateral cooperation between the two institutions and discussed the application of international standards in combating money laundering and t*******t financing, and the central bank’s commitment to them, in addition to applying due diligence from other government institutions in this file, referring to efforts to enhance financial inclusion and keep pace with the sector.
