“The Sky and the Dawn and the Sun” – IDC Musical Thought – 2.20.23

As We Turn The Page On Another Day
So The Stories Have Been Sung
We Lay Our Weary Heads Down Low
On What’s Been Said And Just Not Done

This Joyful Laughter , Echos Ringing
As If From Some Other Place And Time
Sadly , Madly , My Mind Is Reeling
This Life Is Such A Maddening Crime

Ringing , Ringing ,Softly Ringing
Childish Laughter From So Far Away
Todays Are Not Tomorrows
And Tomorrow’s Another Day

The Tears Flow Oh So Quickly
When We Are So Very Young
Yet As The Years Do Keep On Passing
Will We See Another Rising Sun ?

Memories ,Oh Those Memories
So Much Unsaid And Undone
Few Sunsets Are Remain
In This House Of The Rising Sun

This Empty Room, I’m Sensing Gloom
Painting Shadows On The Wall
These Visions Of An Unearthly Moon
Memories Fading , Run Down The Hall

Screaming, Wondering And Dreaming
This Half Life ,So Far From Home
My Words So Devoid Of Meaning
Painting Pallets In Monochrome

As I Yearn To Finish, This My Story
Calling For Another Place And Time
Will This Be My Unsung Glory ?
Simply Writing These Words That Rhyme
