Oklahoma Bill Would Help Minimize the Impact of Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC)
3/20/23 – “Representative Clay Staires (R) introduced House Bill 1633 (HB1633) on Feb. 6. Under the proposed law, a retail establishment would be prohibited from requiring payment by credit card or a central bank digital currency during normal business hours. Retail establishments also could not legally prohibit the use of cash, nor penalize cash customers. The bill would protect Oklahomans from being forced to adopt a central bank digital currency (CBDC). State and local government entities would operate under similar rules.
“Missouri is also considering a legal tender bill. The legislation would prohibit any public entity of the state from requiring payment in the form of any digital currency, including CBDC.”
Texas Proposes Gold and Silver as Legal Tender that Will Weaken the Federal Reserve’s Monopoly
3/19/23 – “Two bills under consideration in Texas propose restoring sound money and enforcing the US Constitution’s monetary provisions that could weaken the grip by the Federal Reserve. If enacted, SB 1558 would officially recognize gold and silver coins as legal tender and eliminate capital-gains taxes on gold and silver — thus bringing Texas closer to constitutional compliance and treating gold and silver as money. HB 4305 would require the Texas comptroller to establish gold and silver reserves, thus reducing its dependence on the federal government.
“These bills are important steps toward nullifying the unconstitutional Federal Reserve, which has a monopoly on money, and will help Texas avoid the federal government’s plans to impose Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDC).”
South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem Vetoed Bill to Implement Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) in Her State
3/13/23 – “South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem vetoed a bill passed by the Republican legislature that would have centralized currency through central bank digital currency (CBDC), which Tucker Carlson pointed out is not currency, but is software. He also explained how CBDC can be used as a tool for control. The bill that she vetoed would have changed the definition of money in order to ban cryptocurrency, Bitcoin or other forms of digital currency, paving the way for government-led CBDC.
“She said the bill was 110 pages long and was sold as an update to guidelines to the Universal Commercial Code (UCC) and was backed by all the state’s financial institutions and banks. She said that the same language used in the bill has been given to 20 other states, sold as a UCC update, to pave the way for the federal government to control currency in order to control the people.
“Governor Noem shocked Tucker Carlson when she said that the South Dakota state legislature that passed this bill probably did not even read it!”
Tennessee House Votes 98-0 To Allow State Treasurer To Acquire And Hold Gold To Protect The State
3/7/23 – “States that help set up the infrastructure to protect state funds with the monetary metals will help further to bring gold and silver into use as an alternative to the inflationary paper-money system, as well as buttressing state funds, many of which are invested in risky paper assets.
“Several other states are considering their own sound money bills this month, including Alaska, Idaho, Maine, Missouri, Mississippi, South Carolina, Vermont, Iowa, Kentucky, Oregon, and more.”
