They have record amounts of reserves. Record amounts of money and record amounts of assets…and they are telling us the currency rate will soon parallel that “To show its true value”…
They have already told us that over the next few weeks that their currency…the dinar will parallel the market and wealth of Iraq. Parallel means to represent the true value. We know it’s coming. Its their job to keep things uncertain as to timing. Regarding Iraqi border crossings…this dropped yesterday from the CBI. There is an extreme tightening of cash going in and out of Iraq. I was always told to look for this toward the end. Coming from the CBI I think this is a big sign that things are impending.
A number of sources are still saying April 1st through the 3rd is a “go”...I did speak to one contact from the redemption side… They are planning on working this weekend. They believe they will be working this weekend. Could that change between now and the weekend…possibly. But this is the first time in a long while that they are expecting to work.

FIREFLY: Channel One News the CBI is saying in coming days they will make a decision on whether to print this new 20k note or not to print it. They’re telling us it would help solve the difference in the price range in Erbil and Baghdad…the street also talking about new 20k note and they’re telling us changes coming to our currency.
FRANK: This new note they’re talking about is actually part of the monetary reform …this will only be temporary until they float the currency Internationally.
This is the last week of this month. The month where they’re educating them. I strongly believe next month they’re going to start to show them…I know you’re excited but I’m more excited about what I haven’t answered yet…

I’m sure everybody heard about the printing of the 20,000 dinars. I don’t think it’s gonna go through. I don’t believe. If they print 20,000 dinars why are they doing all this stuff? I think they’re gonna print smaller categories. I think it’s gonna happen soon. So I disagree with that. I totally disagree with it. Strongly disagree with it. Don’t bring big bills when you’re talking about nickels and dimes and cents…

Four months ago they were talking about studying the possibility of introducing a 20k note. We believe that the language that they use is misleading…Many people do…They didn’t say they did they just said they’re talking about it as a possibility …they were talking about this 4 month [ago]…the 29th of November and they did it again [yesterday]…The belief would be that they’re not going to do that and they’ll maybe come out and say something to the affect that we decided not to do that but we’re doing this instead…

I consider this 20k note yet another possible currency reform measure they are thinking about taking to increase the rate of the dinar and get it under control. But the official decision has not yet been made for sure.

The time, effort, logistics, cost of doing such a massive printing [of 20k notes] just before they’re ready to give them what they’ve been talking about is the reason why not to print the 20k. It is only logical that it might be used for internal usage than anything else.
