…[Wednesday] was the first reading…just like what we expected…This is a huge step forward. Now they are being pressured to read it the second and third times. They have to read it 3 times …then pass it.
…They have already agreed to the budget…now they are just going through the process. It sailed through the first reading in record time… Everything is worked out along with the HCL. I am still looking for a nice, lovely fat rate. They need it to fix the problems.
Question: do we have to wait for after Ramadan to exchange now?
MarkZ Answer: I highly doubt it…. If they want things completed by then – they should probably have us in and out the door. That is how I understand it.

FIREFLY: They’re moving very fast on the budget. t’s interesting because it’s got to mean something. They talked on how the budget will be flexible for adjustments especially this being a 3-year contract...

What do you think that means? …They’re showing you your budget and don’t forget IMO the line item that has the exchange rate is crucial for us…if it comes out at the program rate they can quickly change it at the push of a button.
They are more than likely going to come out 1300 to 1 for their budget.

The budget has to be read into law by reading all the line items of the budget. And one of the first things on that 2023 budget is the exchange rate…Is it 1132? Is it something else? I have no idea…it’s all about the accounting right now. Nothing else.
It is extremely significant that Sudani the leader of this country told the Iraqi citizens hold on to your 3-zero worthless currency because you’re gonna trade it in for something with more value. It’s coming. You can’t stop it…it’s being announced and it’s being introduced.

The way the Constitution works over there is you have a draft budget. It is passed down to the parliamentary… they make the recommendations and they send their draft budget back with the amendments to the committee. The committee reviews those… they turn around and sent it back to parliament…If they agree with them then they take a vote and the budget is passed…They’re getting ready to do their second reading. If there’s more changes they are going to recommend it will go back…
