…Yes, they did vote on many provisions of the budget…Wednesday but did not complete it. The committee is now meeting to vote on its paragraphs and will be completed within the next few days. …the committee has reached the final stages of resolving the general budget law and we can expect it very soon. Remember also this would be something that Iraq has never done before. First of all a three year budget and second actually open it officially for projects to reconstruct their country. WOW!

FIREFLY: All of our cards like MasterCard and Visa card and key cards…are suspended all of a sudden…they’re saying due to changes in the CBI. Something is going on. And they say they’ll be back up in a couple of days…This is all falling together nicely and it seems to be for this weekend.
FRANK: If they have reached the budget…and they’re going to come out this weekend with it, then it makes sense doesn’t it that everything else now has to freeze for the budget to come out with a new exchange rate that will be calculated into your cards, loans, accounts, daily life, your new lower denominated notes…let’s see what happens…
I’ve told you a billion times, the exchange rate waits for nobody, for nothing. The budget waits for the exchange rate… The budget is ready to come out, now you’re telling the Iraqi citizens you can’t use your cards, the American dollar? We certainly can’t use the worthless 3-zero notes either…you tell us that the budget is coming out, you tell us we’re going to get our money from the HCL, you’re telling us that there’s going to be a new exchange rate for lower notes that you’re going to be give us…well give me! …this is perfect timing.

There are meetings going on with the UN in Iraq as they talk about all the changes as they are looking to change their values….I am hearing phenomenal things about the weekend. Hearing phenomenal things about the possibility of an announcement in Iraq tomorrow. Stay calm…We are all praying its accurate this time. Everything continues to be very positive.

There’s something going on with the exchange rate…I would love to see the Iraqi dinar increase in value slightly. I don’t think it’s a big move but there is talk about it. We’ll see what happens…
I like the fact that Iraq is pushing more and more for the citizens to solely use the Iraqi dinar…That will allow the Iraqi dinar to strengthen and you’re going to start seeing little by little increases in the value of the Iraqi dinar. It’s going to be in increments. As much as I would love, just like everybody else, to see this huge change in the dinar value overnight, that’s not going to happen. Everything is being done at a very deliberate pace. I’m excited about it. There are some great things happening in Iraq….

I think we are finally at the end and we should be getting some notifications. I don’t know that I sweat Saturday or even Sunday. But it’s conceivable to come out over the weekend or Monday…But I think by the by Tuesday of next week you should be smiling…
…on Saturday, is what they’re calling exposure of the 2023 budget for Iraq…Now, will that make the Gazette on Saturday – printed version? It could – I don’t know. I don’t know if they’re gonna put the whole budget in it or not, but the budget is supposed to be exposed on Saturday, so big weekend, right now, for Iraq.
