What’s happening with home prices? Housing Market CHANGES playing out now.
The 2023 housing market is in the heart of the spring selling season, and it’s turning out to be one of the worst spring selling season’s on record. With dismal home sales numbers, home buyers are staying out of the market right now. Most of the poor demand has to do with high mortgage rates, but the lack of supply is also keeping home prices elevated, and preventing the housing crash from playing out.
Well we just got the newest Realtor.com housing market data, just released, we break the numbers down showing where homes are currently priced, how far prices have fallen in specific counties and cities across the country. Including in the Florida housing market, the Las Vegas housing market, California housing market, Denver housing market, and more.
We also delve into home builder stocks, and where they are going to move in the coming months, if shorting home builders is a good bet or too risky. We explain the pros and cons with this trade, and what the big money is betting on.
Lastly we also cover the Federal Reserve’s plan for rate hikes, with the next FOMC meeting taking place this coming week and many people claiming it’s the end of the monetary cycle, the end of the Fed’s rate hikes, we give a contrarian argument for why it’s likely we’ll see future hikes. Whether or not a pause happens, it’s likely more interest rate hikes will transpire in the coming months.
