A recent international SWIFT bank wire a friend sent out last Thursday morning took only 3 days to arrive rather than the normal 6 or 7 days.
The bank wire was placed just in time to go out for Thursday, and the country it was going to was several hours ahead of us here.
Banking in the USA usually does not have anything arrive in the accounts on the weekend or holidays even for regular automatic deposits, but this arrived in a foreign country bank account on Sunday.
Does SWIFT want to stay in business by reducing the amount of days needed to transfer an international bank wire?
