Commonwealth Bank customers have taken to social media following an outage that has left many unable to access their own money.

Scores of users reported problems on Monday when trying to log into their online banking service, while others claimed they could not use ATMs.

When opening the CBA app, some were met with a message that their current balance was unavailable and that “we’ll show your balance from the last time you logged on”.

Customers of the ‘big four’ bank were quick to take to social media to complain about the outage.
