“The Final Stand”

As Children, We Learned To Crawl
Then We Learned To Walk And Run
Until We Thought We Knew It All
Joyful Face Turning To The Sun

And So ,We Yearned To Take A Stand
The Clouds So Full Of Rain
While The Ground ,Does Turn to Sand
To Wash Away The Stain

We Seemed To Learn So Many Things
Such Feelings ,We’ve Never Known
Until Our Souls Began To Sing
Giving Birth To The Seeds We’ve Sown

Our Smiling Face Turns To The Skies
These Endless Times I’ve Roamed
The Pain In Learning The Many Lies
Returning, To A Place, That I Call Home

My Home Is Near And Oh So Far
Yet Where Is This Promised Land
My Tired Gaze Turns Towards The Stars
So That I Can Make My Final Stand

TM

Here You Go Team Down Under
It’s Not The Best That I Can Do
While I Awaken From My Slumber
But; To Thine Own Self Be True
