The 2023 bank crisis may be showing it’s cards again, after the second largest regional bank in the country reported they’ve started to conduct layoffs and cost cutting measures. After reporting a sharp drop in net interest income due to higher rates and lower loan activity. Due in large part to the Federal Reserve’s tighter monetary policy, especially QT or quantitative tightening. Leading to banks tightening their lending standards, making it more difficult for businesses to obtain a loan or find financing.

Could this be a sign of deeper problems at PNC, or is it just good management trying to get ahead of tough economic conditions? Well we look into this together during the video, make sure to watch to see what we find!

There’s another problem PNC Bank faces though, a massive trillion dollar inflow to cash, normal account holders moving their money out of their PNC bank accounts, and into money markets and treasuries. A new record was just hit for year to date money market inflows. All of which hurts banks like PNC, want to know why? Make sure to watch the video!
