2023 is the 10 Year Anniversary of the Belt & Road Initiative which was originally billed as being designed to help EMERGING & DEVELOPING COUNTRIES to improve ROAD, RAIL, AIR & SEA Infrastructure and to Build POWER PLANTS. However in 2019 ITALY, which is one of the largest economies in the world and a member of both the G7 and the EU, signed up to join the Belt & Road Initiative. The deal was launched in Rome by President Xi, 29 deals were signed and it was announced that China would be investing over $20 Billion into Italian projects. However those deals never transpired and Italy’s new Prime Minister has now announced that Italy is EXITING from the deal. China has advanced $1.34 TRILLION in Loans to HIGH RISK Countries and the majority of those loan are now in DEFAULT. In this video I provide more details of Italian deal, the current state of the other Belt & Road investments made by China and discuss the impact on the Chinese Economy.
