The idea that Volcker will again save the dollar lies behind those who think the gold price will experience an organic bull market followed by a peak. It won’t be like that this time, because the fiat dollar will be euthanised by the reset.
Though “perform” is an unsuitable word to describe what will happen in a monetary reset.
Everyone in the West is a fiat vested interest, up to their eyeballs in the old system, except those, like us #goldbugs, who have consciously uncoupled.
Consciously uncoupling from the fiat system, by buying gold, subverts the evil fiat system. Conscious uncoupling into gold is a conscientious, intellectual, and overarching form of charity, which purely fiat charity could never be. Very effective altruism.
Fiat will get terminated by the monetary reset, whether some governments like it or not. Governments will then on require taxes to be paid in metal-backed currency.
