FYI the world is leaving the dollar.
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. President-elect Donald Trump on Saturday demanded that BRICS member countries commit to not creating a new currency or supporting another currency that would replace the United States dollar or face 100% tariffs.
“We require a commitment from these Countries that they will neither create a new BRICS Currency, nor back any other Currency to replace the mighty U.S. Dollar or, they will face 100% Tariffs, and should expect to say goodbye to selling into the wonderful U.S. Economy,” Trump wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social.
“They can go find another ‘sucker’. There is no chance that the BRICS will replace the U.S. Dollar in International Trade, and any Country that tries should wave goodbye to America.”
When Trump makes a statement like this. He’s telling you the U.S. doesn’t have any gold. The U.S. never did have the gold.

Let me explain to you something. When BRICS countries sells commodities to another BRICS member. The balance of payments (deficit) is settled in their local currency.
There is no need for BRICS to settle in dollars when these countries are just selling to themselves. You don’t need the dollar.
