Back in 1997, when I was a member of Civil Air Patrol, I was co Mission Coordinator with another member in Louisville handling emergency services missions during the Flood of 1997, My Co MCO was a member of the military stationed at Fort knox.
The subject came up about the gold in Fort knox. For whatever reason. Lull in activity or just inquiring minds asking if he had ever seen it or whatever. He said there was no gold at Fort Knox. He said that a few years prior he saw the gold being loaded onto trucks and hauled away. He had no knowledge as to where it went. Just that is was loaded and hauled away.
So that would have been approximately between 1995-1997.
I have no further information as to its where abouts, but according to him, there was no gold left.
Maybe I should not say this as this is hearsay. But it keeps popping up in the media about being audited but no resolution has been made public. I had no reason to doubt this guy. So I believe him.
Perhaps it was moved to a more secure area that is secret?
