Dinarland Highlights – 4.11.25

Bruce (The Big Call)

…on the redemption center screens, the rates are coming up…we did hear… that we do have dinar and Dong… on the screen… Now, we did see a Dong rate just on Friday, so that’s going in the right direction, and expected to be a little higher than that when we go in for exchanges.

what we’re hearing…is that, yes…definitely in play…is for the exchanges to start over the weekend, Saturday or Sunday…we have heard that the…start of exchanges…are to be underway…well before Easter, Sunday, 20th of April.

Question: Vietnam has found quite a bit of gold. Might that help the value?

MarkZ: I am still guessing it [rate on dong] will be at the $2 – $2.25 range.

…wealth management / redemption center folks will be working tomorrow. They are not scheduled for Sunday though. I think they are getting their regular folks and tax season out of the way so they can handle just us…but, they won’t tell me what they are working on weekends for.

I…am hearing bond meetings went exceptionally well this week. Also was told they should have the first group finished and funded by the middle of next week. This tells us currencies should be getting close.

They’ve been working with the World Bank, the US Treasury, the IMF. The CBI and Sudani have…done a lot of amazing things. The way they’re talking, the World Bank and IMF, these people are talking like they got a new exchange rate.

Question:
“Why would you go to many banks to exchange your currency?”

I don’t trust one bank. If I was going to war I wouldn’t send all my troops to one place.

Article quote:
“Public and private sectors are partners in addressing the housing crisis. Iraq needs approximately 4 million housing units. This need has increased with the country’s population growth rate which is rising at a remarkable rate.”

The private sector is coming in. Think about how much it costs for 4 million housing units. And you’re going to try to build those at 1310?  I don’t think so. It’ll be far cheaper with a new real effective exchange rate…You add a new exchange rate to the equation, all those houses become so much cheaper it’s not even funny.

They’re moving to a non-oil society …That’s why they have governance…the digital transformation…all these new e-payment systems. They’re moving away from just oil. Non-oil. … liquid natural gas…all these other natural resources. It’s really obvious.

Article:
“Tump may ‘destroy’ the Iraqi budget by seeking to ‘crash’ oil prices”

Quote:
US President Donald Trump is seeking to lower oil prices to the lowest possible level in order to support his country’s industrial establishment. He is doing so by imposing tariffs on oil-producing countries and then having them negotiate with him to rebalance the trade balance in his country’s favor…Iraq’s budget relies on oil for approximately 90% of its revenue. If oil prices decline, the Iraqi government will be in a difficult position…”

Article:
“Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani attended the Conference on Reforming the Iraqi Banking Sector”

Quote:
“The government, in cooperation with the Central Bank of Iraq, launched a comprehensive initiative for integrated strategic banking reforms.”

Does this look or sound  like “THIS IS IT”? Do you honestly think we are in an AMN situationDo they sound ready to youI think the RV is quite a while off…Iraq has a way to go before they are going to attempt a revaluation of any kind.

They seem to be hellbent on getting into the digital currency as quickly as possible. So why change anything with the Iraqi dinar right now when they know already their intent is to switch into the central bank digital currencyThey’re not going to make any changes to the Iraqi dinar before then. That’s just my opinion but that just makes sense doesn’t it? Because the switch looks like it’s going to happen within months.
