Dinarland Highlights – 10.26.25

Frank26 (KTFA)

[Iraq boots-on-the-ground report]

FIREFLY: Iraq just released the new 50 dinar note.  We’re looking at it.  But the one and the five notes, they have not yet  been issued.

FRANK: The 50 dinar note is back…but a different one…that was canceled back in 2015…This is a reinstatement…You can’t mix oil and water together unless you have an emulsifier.  That would be a new exchange rate. Oh, buddy!

FIREFLY: It’s all over the news.  We’re all excited…

FRANK: I love where they say this 50 note marks the beginning of the role out of the lower notes.

Why in the world did they come out with a 10 dinar note [Now a 50 dinar note too], a 10 dinar lower note sample, a lower note dinar specimen?  When we told you a long time ago that they would have these specimens, well there you go…We told you they would teach the Iraqi citizens when it got down to the nitty-gritty, that they were going to show Iraqi citizens their specimens…samples…’We’re about to do something and before we do we have to do this.’  This is a process.  These are sequential steps.  When you go across a river you want to make sure you hit every step.

What we have right now is the CBI just exploding like a cornucopia with so much powerful information about the monetary reform of our investment.  We’re at a point right now where it is just overflowing with so much information…

Question: Will we be able to exchange the older dinar with the face of Sadaam Hussein on it?

MarkZ: I get mixed thoughts on this by many. I think there is a chance, but wouldn’t count on it. I would definitely take it with me at exchange time. Just in case. But I wouldn’t go out and buy any.

Article:
“Iraq needs the US envoy to face current circumstances and regional crisis”

More and more folks are downright excited about the moves Trump has made in the last week or two in Iraq. The envoy Trump sent is a native Iraqi. And Iraq is looking forward to a close relationship with the US.

Iraq is quietly moving into the modern financial world. I think we all know that…We believe it’s loud in our faces, but globally it really isn’t. Investment wise you can see the powerhouse data…Three things are happening at the same time.  Iraq wants to join the Bank of International Settlements, which is the club of central banks…Iraq is planning to drop three zeros from the dinar, the currency redesign…Iraq is launching a digital dinar…

Article:
“120 billion in cash deposited into the Unified account”

They’re telling you now that they did it.  They moved cash, 120 billion dinars in cash, going to the unified system.  In my view that’s a component of taking cash out of the system. Why? Because they’re going to a cash less society.  The less cash they have, the note count reduces. It helps support the real effective exchange rate.

Question:
“What impact will ending the auctions have on the Iraqi Dinar exchange rate?”

The official and parallel rates may converge more closely, reducing distortions and building market confidence…There are many moving parts and this is not a simple flip of the switch.  Be prepared for a waiting period necessary to facilitate the control mechanisms and reach an equilibrium. Our rewards for enduring this nightmare are inching closer but this is uncharted waters…

Article:
“Early Warning Systems and Their Impact on the Stability of the Iraqi Dinar Exchange Rate”

This illustrates the fact that Iraq is not ready to revalue the currency yet but is actively working in that direction. The IMF has not changed its calculation of an additional 1-2 years for implementation of an RV.

To be honest with you.  We Iraq dinar holder investors, we are part of the problem because we are holding millions and millions of Iraqi banknotes that are not in circulation.  But by law, we cannot open an Iraqi bank account…so it’s very difficult for us to integrate our banknotes into the Iraqi economy, even if we wanted to do that…

Don’t worry.  It’s not going to devalue if they delete the zeros.  You have 25,000 dinars, that’s 25,000 dinars.   You have 25 dinars, that’s 25 dinars…
