What does Iraq need to do? They need to bring out a new rate…Saturday…and that’s really good news. Our rates are pretty much locked in, as you guys know. The contract rate on the Iraqi dinar has been set within a range, and the range is extremely high, and we should be in really good shape on that.

On the bond side I did get some news. I heard from a contact that their meeting yesterday went fantastic and a big transfer was initiated. They should get their funds next week…If they are indeed getting paid (full money not pieces or parts) next week…our timing should be in 7-10-days.

Maybe VES [Venezuelan Bolivar]
I am preparing for this to be a taxable event. If it’s not a taxable event, great. But as an investor I want to stay off the IRS’s radar. It’s the cost of doing business.
Question:
“What are the odds the VDN will devalue as opposed to revalue to keep Vietnam’s exports competitive globally?”
The VND is artificially held in place by the State Bank of Vietnam. And they have a tight grip on it, because they want a lower valued Dong for imports and exports. All of that will change on Sept 21st when the FTSE upgrades them to Emerging Status.

It’s been a very exciting week. A lot has happened in Iraq. We have a government formation, which I didn’t think was going to happen this week. I thought they were going to push it out probably till June, which has been the case every single year for the last 23 years. There’s exciting things going on…This is the most movement, the most amount of things happening, I have ever seen. It’s exciting to be watching this in real time.
I’m going to say this boldly…What is about to happen in Iraq and what is about to take place when the Iraqi dinar revalues, this has never happened before to this magnitude. It will most likely never happen again. If people want to call you a conspiracy theorist or crazy and this applies to most of us who hold Iraqi dinar because that what we’re believing and hoping for that this worthless currency is one day going to be worth a lot more than it is. There has never been something like this that has happened to the magnitude that we are all hoping and expecting it to be.

Government is one, the banking is two and they work in conjunction but they’re independent. The Central Bank of Iraq is independent. Keep that in mind at all times because that’s a fact.
The last 48 hours have been genuinely powerful. We’ve moved from political uncertainty to a seated government while the CBI and economic institutions continue serious e*******n. The convergences are not random…Our future looks really bright.

Now that Iraq has competed the formation of their government and sworn them in, now that the Clarity Act finally got approved because the rate change is right here in front of us…The rate change is 100% done and ready to go. It’s going to come reasonably quick.

“Are all countries going to revalue at the same time?”
I believe the Iraqi dinar is the only currency that’s going to revalue. I personally don’t believe any other countries are going to revalue at the same time Iraq does.

OMAR: On TV CBI governor Alaq says there are no plans for any rapid revaluation or monetary reform from the CBI. He emphasized they’re focused on stability and there’s been no mention of changing the rate once the government is seated.
FRANK: Do you have plans for a revaluation? “Well not rapidly.” You’re a piece of work aren’t you [Alaq]…1300 does not stabilize your currency…It doesn’t matter how he plays with words, his days are numbered IMO [As CBI governor]…

Al-Zaidi’s government was given confidence, he and the ministers were sworn in at Parliament. The world, especially the US, has been congratulating him on forming the government…Iraq now has a functioning, non-caretaker status, government that can start moving on the Kurd/Baghdad Oil and Gas Law, laws to regulate the Factions and laws to bring all arms in control of the State…Once we see those accomplished and not before, I will start watching what the CBI does.
