The price of getting out from under all of it is a set of books an auditor can trust. Redenomination means that a 1000 dinar note will be replaced by a 1 dinar note…’Oh, shoot! He just told us it’s going to lop?!?’ [No,] Let me finish. All of this is based on a country’s inflation. Iraq has very low, extremely low inflation…around 3%. A country with inflation that low is not going to lop. It’s basic economics. I have articles that state Iraq will have 2 currencies coexist together at the same value. What does value mean? It means what the dinar is worth against a foreign currency such as the US dollar…So two different set of notes will coexist..Let’s us a 25K note and a newer smaller note of 25…will share the same value against the dinar...If the rate was $3…just an example…a 25,000 note would be worth $75,000. A 25 note would be worth $75. That’s why I said redenomiation and not a lop.

This is the big group right here, the Popular Mobilization Forces. If the United States can get them to fall under state control that would be huge. They’re the biggest problem over there in Iraq…Many of the groups still keep their own commands and ties to Iran, which is a no, no. That’s not what Trump wants. He’s trying to free Iraq from any control of Iran.

Iraq has a new government. It’s functional but incomplete, and the hardest decisions are still unresolved…What’s still unresolved: Nine ministries remain unfilled including Defense, Interior, Planning, Culture, Higher Education, Labor, Migration, Housing, and Youth. Defense and Interior are the two that matter most because they control the security apparatus and are directly tied to the weapons disarmament push. Washington refused to resume transfer of certain dollar assets to Iraq while pressuring Baghdad not to seat affiliates of Iran-backed militia groups in cabinet posts…Who fills Defense and Interior will signal more about this government’s actual direction than any written policy commitment.

The Development Road Project is one of the big issues. Everybody should take it as serious as I do because it’s going to be those non-oil revenue streams to a scale that probably hasn’t been seen in 50 years or more, probably a lot more…They’re going from a rentier economy to a market economy.
