It is official. The Bank of Japan raised its benchmark interest rate to the highest since 1995. This is going to get interesting…

BREAKING NEWS: RECORD 45% OF CENTRAL BANKS PLAN TO INCREASE GOLD HOLDINGS

The rush continues…

Gold…

Almost 20% of central banks increased domestic storage or diversified overseas locations over the past year. This is a trend I have been covering for years. Countries want their gold back on their OWN soil. The trend is very real.

The next challenge to dollar dominance won’t start with a currency. It will start with a payment network. Project mBridge has already processed $69 billion. The plumbing of global finance is changing.

The great gold repatriation continues. Central banks are moving gold out of London and New York vaults and back onto sovereign soil. London storage fell from 64% to 57%. The New York Fed fell from 17% to 14%. When nations lose confidence… They ask for their gold.

Some in every generation believe they are witnessing the end of the world. Most are simply witnessing the end of an illusion.

The Federal Reserve has ended forward guidance. The era of confidently predicting things that never happened is over. Good riddance.

Currencies are becoming a growing source of concern. Japan and the United States just held talks on global financial markets. More than 50 years after the collapse of Bretton Woods, the consequences of a world built on free-floating exchange rates are becoming harder to ignore…

Something big many people missed:

BRICS has reportedly prepared a draft framework for a gold-backed settlement token designed for cross-border transactions between central banks. The proposed structure would be backed 40% by gold and 60% by the currencies of the bloc’s core members. This would not be a common currency. It would be a settlement mechanism designed to facilitate trade and financial flows without relying on the U.S. dollar.

Everything that I have spent nearly 10 years discussing is bubbling to the surface. Gold is at the center of all the action.
