Iran spent this week carrying its d**d founder through Iraq to a grave 4 months in the making.
While the cameras followed the hearse, Baghdad kept dismantling the money machine that founder’s network built.
The funeral that took 4 months
Khamenei passed away in February. He goes in the ground on July 9, after 131 days above the earth. Islam buries its d**d within a day. A regime that holds its holiest man that long, until it has a ceasefire and Baghdad’s clearance to move the body, is telling you it was not in control of the ground. His named successor, Mojtaba, has not shown his face in public since March. The men actually running Iran now are a parliament speaker and a Guard general.
Baghdad kept working
While Tehran organised the procession, Iraq’s central bank revoked 3 more currency-exchange licenses for moving dollars outside auditable channels. In 3 days, on July 10, the ASYCUDA customs system goes mandatory at every border and the paper invoice, the smuggler’s oldest trick, stops clearing. This is the same week, from two directions, closing the gap the black-market dollar lives in.
