That’s the number that stopped me.
After de-duplicating the institutional universe spanning DTCC, SWIFT and FedNow, our working model identifies roughly 12,850 unique financial institutions touching an estimated ~$250 trillion asset universe.
Now look at Ripple.
Our analysis estimates only ~400 – about 3.1% – have a publicly identifiable working relationship with at least one part of Ripple’s seven-part ecosystem:
Prime • Custody • RLUSD • XRP • XRPL • Payments • Treasury
Yet those ~400 institutions are estimated to represent roughly $110 TRILLION in institutional assets.
Read that again.

These are estimates – not audited aggregate totals – and a Ripple relationship does not mean every asset of that institution uses Ripple infrastructure.
But that may be precisely what makes the picture so extraordinary.
Ripple doesn’t need relationships with everyone for its network position to become consequential. It needs relationships with highly connected nodes.
And it appears to already have hundreds.
So perhaps the most important question isn’t “How big is Ripple today?”
What happens if an end-to-end financial stack has already connected enough of the world’s largest nodes – and the next phase is not linear adoption, but network effects?
