IRAQ — THE REFORM ROAD

The Central Bank continues its banking-sector reform program, including coordination with Oliver Wyman and efforts to strengthen Iraqi banks and their connections with the international financial system.

The CBI is also tightening oversight and governance within state-owned banks, another piece of the broader banking-reform process.

THE IQD

The CBI’s official exchange-rate table currently shows:
$1 = 1,310 IQD

The CBI governor has said that removing zeros from the currency would require Parliamentary legislation.

There is still no official announcement of an IQD revaluation.

GLOBAL — FINANCIAL RAILS

The BRICS countries continue working toward faster, lower-cost and more interoperable cross-border payments, while encouraging greater use of national currencies.

These are genuine changes to the way money can move internationally.

They are not evidence of an overnight global currency reset or an IQD revaluation.

ROAD CHECK

✅ Iraqi banking reform — moving
✅ CBI oversight — tightening
✅ International financial integration — developing
✅ Cross-border payment interoperability — advancing
⚠️ Currency changes — formal process required
❌ IQD revaluation — not announced

RAIL WATCH

The financial rails continue to develop through banking compliance, correspondent banking, payment interoperability and local-currency settlement.

Iraq is working on its banking infrastructure.

BRICS countries are working on connecting payment systems.

Both are real developments — but neither is an announced IQD revaluation.

REALITY CHECK

There is real movement in the financial system.

There are also plenty of claims circulating online.

We’re watching the CBI, official rates, regulatory actions and actual documents — not the rumors.
Show us the document.

Then we’ll read what it actually says.
