CBI RESERVES:
The Central Bank of Iraq says its foreign-exchange reserves are sufficient to meet foreign-currency needs at the official exchange rate and tells the public to rely on official CBI information—not rumors.
NO NEW RATE:
This statement does not announce a new exchange rate.
CURRENCY SUPPLY:
The CBI governor has reported about 107T IQD issued, with a currency-exchange program intended to help determine the actual amount circulating.
CURRENCY CHANGE:
That does not yet prove a revaluation, new rate, or automatic return of “mattress money.”
UN:
UNAMI’s political mission ended December 31, 2025, but the UN continues working in Iraq through its country team.
