IRAN
3 October 2026
One rate moved. The rest of the board did not.
Iran’s central bank posted a higher official dollar fix. One US dollar is now listed at 1,752,285 rials, up from 1,747,044 on 1 October. That is 5,241 more rials per dollar, about 0.30 percent.
More rials for the same dollar means the official rial is weaker, not stronger. It is a routine fix.
Tehran has not announced a redenomination or a revaluation. Nothing comparable landed elsewhere.
Iraq has no new official dinar revaluation or redenomination. Talk of dropping zeros is still a proposal, not a completed change.
Vietnam, Zimbabwe’s ZiG and Venezuela’s bolívar have no fresh official currency reform or redenomination on the record today.

The European Central Bank is still working on market and banking integration. It did not announce a new rate decision today.
No independent source supports a sudden revaluation of the dinar, dong, ZiG, rial or bolívar.
A posted fix is not a reset.
