I Want You All To See This: The Shadow Network Mouthpiece

Haider al-Sheikh. Iraqi economic analyst. Regular circuit presence on Iraqi financial media Channel 8, the usual rotation.

He is not a policymaker. He is not a central bank official. He is a commentator with a platform, and right now, his platform is being used to run interference.

His statement, stripped to the bone, claims:

Zero removal proposal postponed

• Reason: limited government liquidity
• Reason: lack of sustained economic recovery
• Government focus: securing budget revenues, supporting economic activity, attracting foreign investment

Do you see how they are trying to confuse you to the very end?

The liquidity argument is the most insulting component because it inverts reality.

Iraq’s 2027 projected sovereign revenues exceed $110 billion. Oil is tracking $80–82 per barrel. Non-oil revenue is expanding. The federal budget passed with significant fiscal headroom. This is not a government staring at an empty vault.

Al-Sheikh knows this. His “limited liquidity” framing conflates two separate things:

■ Short-term cash flow management which every government deals with constantly and which has zero bearing on currency redenomination timing

■ Structural fiscal capacity which Iraq has in abundance for 2027

What You As The Investor Need To Know

Redenomination does not require liquidity. It requires the opposite it requires fiscal stability and reserve strength, both of which are present. You do not spend money to remove zeros. You re-denominate the currency to reflect existing strength.

“The liquidity talking point is a stall narrative dressed in economic language.”

This Part Is Almost Comical

Iraq’s post-October 3 government seating unlocked the entire reform sequence. Full cabinet. Prime Minister with confirmed authority. High Court ruling affirming the PM’s jurisdiction over currency policy. Printing contracts already prepped. Design work completed.

The Joke?

The “recovery” al-Sheikh claims is missing is the recovery that was deliberately held hostage by the caretaker government limbo. You cannot e*****e major monetary policy under a caretaker regime that is not a liquidity problem or a recovery problem. That is a political sequencing problem, and it has been resolved.

He is describing the condition that existed before befire Iraq had a new PM and presenting it as the current state. That is not analysis. That is a time-delayed narrative being replayed to manufacture the appearance of stagnation.

Do you see the discernment you have to have to navigate this media landscape that is intentionally being used to mislead you?
