Within this framework, mankind has every reason to believe we can build a monetary system that better reflects the Creator’s order. Our capacity to recognize disorder, imagine something better and bring it into existence follows directly from being image bearers of a creative God.
An omnipotent Creator could establish a universe whose complexity exceeds human comprehension while making its principles discoverable. We encounter that order through mathematics, physical relationships, living systems and the consequences of our choices. Human understanding remains incomplete, yet we can learn enough to cultivate land, harness energy, heal d*****e and build extraordinary tools.
Being made in God’s image means our creative agency carries responsibility. We can discover, design, choose, cooperate and correct our mistakes. The same human capacity that constructs a financial institution can reconstruct it. An inherited monetary arrangement has no claim to permanence simply because generations have lived under it.
Money is a human instrument for recording claims, measuring prices and exchanging value. Its rules are choices: who may issue it, what backs it, how obligations arise, who receives privileges and how losses are assigned. Those choices can be examined against truth, consent, stewardship and accountability.
Where a system depends on deception, concealed liabilities, coercive dependence or privileges insulated from consequences, image bearers have grounds to challenge it. The work becomes concrete when we translate principles into Creator-aligned principle.
So, what is required in a truth aligned exchange system?

Claims accurately describe the assets, obligations and rights behind them.

Honest weights and measures
Clearly defined units and openly disclosed rules for issuance, valuation and redemption.
Freedom
Informed consent, meaningful ownership and practical ways to exit.
Accountability
Inspectable records, enforceable obligations and consequences for fraud – including by powerful participants.
Stewardship
Credit and investment that support productive capacity, with risks and costs disclosed.
Justice
Consistent treatment and an accessible process for resolving disputes.
Energy and value exchange also require precise thinking. Energy is physically measurable; economic value includes usefulness, scarcity, time, skill and human judgment. A sound system can make those exchanges more honest without pretending that every form of value can be reduced to one immutable physical measure. An asset backing a currency must actually exist, and the holder’s claim on it must be clear and enforceable.
Technology gives us additional tools: verifiable ownership, auditable reserves, transparent issuance, faster settlement and direct exchange. Their worth depends on the rules they implement and the people accountable for operating them. A technically sophisticated system still needs truthful representations, voluntary participation and effective remedies.

“Completely aligned” is the governing standard; demonstrating that alignment is the continuing responsibility. Every proposed design should welcome inspection, correction and evidence of its effects. Confidence in our God-given capacity belongs alongside willingness to discover where our own design falls short.
So why should mankind believe such reconstruction is possible? Because a monetary system is something people make – and people possess the intelligence, agency and responsibility to improve what they make.
We honor the Creator’s image in us when we turn discernment into design, design into accountable action, and accountable action into greater freedom for others.
