Mr. B. Patrick Thomas,
Re: “I Wish you a Happy Redemption!” by B. Patrick Thomas – 5.18.21
A good deed should not go without recognition. Your article is a good deed and I am recognizing it.
I’ve attempted to put all my scrambled thoughts of this same process in an organized manner, without success. Hard as I’ve worked, hard as I’ve tried all my long life, I’ve never been able to get past a shortage of money, such as, “No, you can’t have that because your money is attached to a constant rising electric bill that needs to be paid” or what ever the bill at that time might be. Being frugal never seemed to solve the situation.
I see people around me every day that need just a good boost and I long to help them. I give to the beggar standing on the street corner when I can for except by the Grace of God, that would be me or one of my precious children. Ican exist on little, but the ones I can’t help is what causes me to lose sleep.
So my hope is that the QFS or the person sitting across the table from me at redemption time will know who I am and all my intentions. I have a long list of people to help and once that is accomplished, I will continue to branch out from there. One of my biggest desires is to set up a fund to help people receive proper dental care. It’s the most neglected and one of the most costly work a person can have done to enhance their health. The cost factor (created by the greed of the dentist themselves)creates the neglect. I’ll need help setting it up but I will provide the funds for such a project. I don’t believe God intended for us to go without teeth and He has provided us a way to have false teeth, implanted teeth and good care of natural teeth. But the cost is the prohibitive factor. There are a few dentist that will provide certain work for $10,000.00 as opposed to a dentist right next door who charges $40,000.00 for the same work. It’s just plain gougery of the people.
Thank you Mr. Thomas, you have said it all in an organized manner and it helps me tremendously. I hope it helps others as well.
