As a pastor and a nurse, I have seen first hand the devastation COVID has caused. I have seen friends, family, co-workers, and saints lose their jobs, their businesses, and some have even lost their lives. Also as prior military myself, I understand that orders and situations can change at the drop of a dime, with all of that being said, no one is addressing the other elephant in the room; the mental stability of those going through this great transition. My greatest concern is after all of this mayhem is over, will people even have the mental fortitude, the desire, or even the will to still perform their humanitarian projects. I can attest that I have had some dark days and wanted desperately to throw my hands up and walk away, especially seeing needs all around me that I could do nothing about. After hearing Nick’s post this morning, we again had to face another day of our country holding us back from our dream. I cannot speak for anyone else, but I worry about myself and the people I serve. I have great concern all of our mental stability, especially when combating loss, depression, and hopelessness. In this dispensation, we have seen enough war, greed, lies, and loss. I personally call on the PTB to finally set us free to help our fellow human beings.

Namaste,
Gayle B.
