A large-scale security operation in Diwaniyah ends with the arrest of more than 800 people

Al-Diwaniyah Police Command announced, on Wednesday, the arrest of 841 wanted and violators during a qualitative operation that included all regions of the province.

The leadership stated in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, that the Diwaniyah police formations carried out a major and extensive security exercise that included all regions of the province, in which large numbers of officers and affiliates participated in the pursuit of wanted persons in order to maintain the security of the province and to impose the imposition of the prestige of the state and the rule of law.

It indicated that the security practice included setting up mobile and fixed controls and focusing on external controls by searching people coming to the governorate and other governorates, in addition to checking the names of wanted persons and searching suspicious places.

She added that the operation resulted in the arrest of 191 wanted persons with various legal articles, and 650 violators, noting that the security services had begun investigations with the wanted persons for the purpose of referring them to the judiciary in order to determine their fate.  LINK
