I have some empathy for you Mike. My words may or may not help. Surviving life in the US is not easy- at best. We have all failed and picked ourselves up time and time again. Those who have had to do this did this because failure was not option. Our lives have problems or challenges in them. Two completely different ways to view living life. Problems in life drag us down because we took too many failures to heart. When we don’t accept the loss of something as a failure, we look at life as a challenge to overcome. I’ve been there as have so many millions of others. Each of us determines our own future and when we stop doing that- creating our own future- life becomes a hard problem. It starts with realizing each of us are the Masters of our own universe, win, lose or draw. Our daily decisions of where to place full responsibility for everyday lived is the secret to success or failure in our lives. “Its their fault, the currency didn’t revalue so my dreams are shattered” is the act of displacing the responsibility for one’s own life onto something other than the true author- oneself. The only way this leads is down. Less and less survival. I’ve been on this road before and the end of that road has a point of not being able to make a u-turn or to even back up. I was fortunate to have enough courage to say to myself, “I am doing something wrong that is leading me down this lonely road.” I figured it out. I and no one else is responsible for my life and the bad things that have happened to me and its MY job to fix it. No matter how bad it was. I did not have to be the victim. I chose to be the victor, everyday. Forget the losses and enjoy the small triumphs and never point the finger at something else being to blame. Also taking responsibility is not blame or being at fault. Those are victim traps. Just look at yourself in the mirror and say with intention ” ” I am the person that has me in the current condition I am in. No one else put me here!” You are 1/2 way home when you can utter those words- honestly.
Our words and intentions are powerful, on an everyday, every minute of everyday basis. Negative words and intentions i.e. “I’m so broke I can hardly pay attention” is exactly how evil wants you to feel. Disagree with these automatic utterances. They are like bad habits. Catch yourself when you feel like saying them and disagree with it. Then change the thought to a positive one over and over again. You will change your life for the better without the RV. You will then be in charge of your life.
Hope this helps Mike. It is written to help, not to point the finger at you.
