The Central Bank of Iraq confirms that it will not grant a license to any encrypted digital currency
The Central Bank of Iraq has warned against the use of digital, encrypted and virtual currencies, stressing that no license is currently granted to any encrypted digital currency.
And the bank’s management stated, in a press statement, that it “closely follows up transactions in the digital, encrypted and virtual currency market, given the great risks associated with these currencies and their failure to be subject to any legal, regulatory or technical controls or legislation in Iraq.”
The Central Bank of Iraq warned against using it, to avoid any negative repercussions resulting from dealing with those currencies, which have high volatility and speculation in them, stressing that “it does not guarantee such currencies and does not provide legal protection for those who deal in them and has not granted a license to any digital currency currently encrypted. link
Al-Kazemi’s advisor reveals the features of the 2022 budget
The financial advisor to the Prime Minister, Mazhar Muhammad Salih, revealed today, Saturday, the features of the financial budget for the current year 2022.
Saleh told {Euphrates News}, “The budget for the year 2022 is very similar to the budget for the year 2021, in terms of employment and investment, and others.”
He added that “the survival of the budget in its current form depends on the Council of Ministers and the House of Representatives,” noting that “the House of Representatives has the right to reduce allocations or transfers between chapters, and this depends on the constitutional path to legislate the next budget. link

Al-Rafidain Bank announced, on Friday, the launch of the “Credit Card” credit card.
A source in Al-Rafidain told {Euphrates News} that “the bank will soon launch the credit card, with modern features.”

The US ambassador to Baghdad: No ‘veto’ on the ‘Chinese agreement’
On Friday, the US ambassador to Baghdad, Matthew Toler, commented on his country’s position on the “Chinese agreement”, noting that his country wants to boost Iraq’s economic activity.
Toller said in an interview with colleague Ayser Jabbar, followed by “Nas” (January 14, 2022), that “there is no veto on the Chinese agreement, and we do not seek to have a veto in achieving this agreement,” adding, “But successive American administrations I have always expressed great concern about the b----l and coercive Chinese economic practices that do not follow international standards of fairness, transparency and credibility.”
Toller stressed, “His country hopes to see Iraq’s economy diversified and has normal bilateral trade relations of interest in accordance with international standards, and we encourage it, whether regional or international.”
