Will not pass without changing the dollar exchange rate.. a political bloc that will decide the controversy of the 2022 budget

The leader of the State of Law coalition, Haider Al-Lami, confirmed today, Friday, that the 2022 budget will not pass until after the exchange rate of the dinar against the dollar is restored to what it was previously.

Al-Lami said in a statement to (Baghdad Today) that “the coalition, from the beginning, categorically rejected the decision to raise the exchange rate, but was surprised by a great rejection by some political forces,” noting that “the only affected by this rise is the Iraqi people.”

And he added, “Iraq today exports more than four million barrels of oil, and the price of one barrel reaches 85 dollars, so the exchange rate decision must be reconsidered.”

Al-Lami stressed, “The rule of law will not proceed with passing the 2022 budget except with a decision to return the dollar exchange rate to what it was previously, in the service of the interests of the Iraqi people.”   link

Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Mustafa Ghaleb, received a delegation from (Mawazine Foundation for Artistic and Media Production) and talked about the sixth session of the annual Mawazine Festival.

The governor received a certificate of appreciation under the title (Mawazine Prize for Creativity and Excellence 2021).

The Governor of the Central Bank, Mustafa Ghaleb Mokhif, announced, on Thursday, the increase in Iraq’s foreign currency reserves

And fearful said during his honor in Baghdad, according to a statement, that “the central bank has an important role in achieving macroeconomic balance,” explaining that “the central bank faced several challenges resulting from the effects of the Corona virus on the Iraqi economy, as well as the global economic crisis, which was the biggest challenge, and took Processes and a series of measures to overcome these challenges and reach monetary stability

He added that “reserves Iraq In foreign currencies, it rose to 64 billion dollars,” stressing that “the Iraqi economy has become much better than it was in the middle of the Corona virus pandemic   link

Sweden, the country of snow, helps Iraq’s oil financially

Today, Thursday, the Swedish government renewed its financial support for the Iraqi government, with a contribution of about $5.7 million.

The Swedish government stated in a statement received by the fourth that “Sweden continues to support explosive risk management activities in Iraq, as the United Nations Mine Action Service welcomed the Swedish government’s contribution of 50 million Swedish crowns (about 5.7 million US dollars).”

“This contribution will support the Iraqi government with humanitarian, social, economic and reconstruction efforts, while protecting vulnerable civilians from the threat posed by explosive munitions,” she added.   link
