Cabinet Secretariat: working hours will be suspended on Tuesday in commemoration of Ashura

The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers announced that working hours will be suspended for next Tuesday.
A statement of the secretariat, which the agency {Euphrates News} received a copy of, stated that it was decided to “disrupt the official working hours on Tuesday, corresponding to the ninth of August, 2022, which falls on the tenth of Muharram, 1444 AH, the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).” LINK

Dhi Qar Governorate decided to suspend the official working hours in the governorate for 3 consecutive days, starting from today, Sunday.
A statement from the governor’s office stated that {Euphrates News} received a copy of it that “in view of the noticeable rise in temperatures that exceeded 50 degrees Celsius, as well as the complete shutdown of the electrical system throughout Iraq, and for the purpose of allowing the people of our beloved governorate to do Ashura work, as well as mourning ceremonies.
And condolences for the tenth day of Muharram, it was decided to suspend official working days on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays (7-8-9 August 2022) in all institutions and departments that are administratively affiliated with the local government in Dhi Qar.
The statement added, “Excluded from (the holiday) are security and health institutions, municipal departments, maintenance teams of the water and electricity departments, and students who take final exams.” LINK
